Droidrails is a code generation framework and SDK like nothing you have ever seen before. DroidRails is designed to generate complete MVC (Model, View, Controller) applications for mobile devices from a database source without writing a single line of code! Imagine this: you have been tasked with creating a mobile application to interface with a web service that pulls it's data from a database. You have a copy of the database's structure stored in a SQL script (.sql) file. From here, you can spend the next month or two creating classes/structures to represent the data, write a library to interface with the web service, and build enough of a UI to show that your code even works. Sounds like a good month of work right? Or, you could take that same .sql dump, pass it to the DroidRails generator, and automatically generate a fully-functional mobile app in under 5 minutes!
Droidrails uses a powerful custom template parsing backend similar to Visual Studio's Intellisense and Ruby on Rails' generator to transform a representation of a database's tables into classes/structures that mirror their database counterparts. These objects are then paired with the DroidRails SDK to generate a 100% functional application that can be compiled and deployed in minutes to a mobile device.
